"A Fistful of Dollars" or a bullet in the chest: Lose your money to Clint Eastwood

The latest star to attach their name to a poker machine: Clint Eastwood.

Clint Eastwood is the star of WMS Gaming's new Fistful of Dollars slot machines. WMS have also managed to trump IGT by having Eastwood be the major star of the first day of Global Gaming Expo, known as G2E, in Las Vegas. This picture shows Eastwood swamped at the WMS stand in front of his machines.

What more would you want in a slot machine than one with star power that is a story about an outlaw and features guns and money. A bonus feature even asks you to shoot at outlaws in order to clean up the town and win credits.

This is just another way that a gaming manufacturer is using to attract gamblers to their machines. Players can easily get drawn in to games, and celebrities such as Clint Eastwood only add to the personification of the machine and encourage gamblers to develop a psuedo-intimate relationship with the machine.

I just hope that this image doesn't give a gambler who has lost everything and is thinking about drastic measures any ideas.

I don't think we would even want to give them one.
